Dr. Monica Quintanilla Goldstein, a licensed Occupational Therapist, founded Adira Ergonomics Safety and Workplace Rehab. She is a Santa Barbara resident and a dedicated mother and wife. Dr. Monica identified a need for ergonomic support for mothers who returned to work after medical or maternity leave through her home-based practice, where she works to support the mother-baby dyad. Mothers new to caring for their babies often bend their wrists repeatedly while holding, feeding, and caring for their little ones. This, combined with sitting at a poorly arranged workstation, can cause discomfort and pain, which may eventually lead to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or other upper extremity issues. Dr. Monica offered ergonomic interventions and recommended proper workspace setups at home to improve their body mechanics and reduce the risk of injury. Dr. Monica believes providing access to professional services by skilled and certified personnel is crucial. Dr. Monica is proud to deliver ergonomics support to her community, including evaluations and standardized assessments by occupational therapists for all populations. This allows employers to invest in the health and well-being of their employees.
